Mentoring
Introduction
Our mentoring programme supports the social, emotional, and personal
development of learners aged 5–18 through structured, trauma-informed
intervention.
It’s designed to work with those who are home educated, in PRUs, care
settings, or disengaged from school — helping them to rebuild their confidence,
sense of self, and future direction.
What We Deliver
Our mentoring model is built around three core pillars:
Character – helping learners develop identity, values, emotional literacy, and resilience
Confidence – building belief in self, voice, worth, and the ability to succeed
Careers – introducing pathways to the future through goal-setting and exposure to
real-world opportunities
Programme Content
Delivered through 1:1 sessions or small group formats (max 5 learners), our mentoring
covers:
● Emotional regulation and behaviour support
● Identity and self-worth development
● Positive routines and mindset building
● Confidence in communication and social settings
● Re-engagement with learning and future planning

working with complex needs and SEMH learners
Where and How We Deliver
Mentoring is delivered:
● In learners’ homes
● In PRUs and alternative provision spaces
● In care homes
● In community hubs or spaces we facilitate
Sessions are:
● Consistent and relationship-driven
● Supported by weekly feedback and termly summary reports
● Adaptable to EHCPs, PEPs, or pastoral team targets
Real Impact, Real Change
Mentoring often becomes the turning point for learners who have lost trust in education or
themselves.
We build connections first, then support learners to develop skills, routines, and aspirations
that stick.
“Before the mentoring started, he didn’t want to leave the house. Now he’s
excited to talk about careers and has even rejoined online learning.”
— Parent of Year 10 EHE pupil
Can Be Delivered as Part of a Blended Model
Mentoring can be delivered as a standalone intervention, or as part of our
blended model, where it works alongside tuition, life skills, and digital
development.
This integrated approach produces stronger engagement and long-term
outcomes.
